Tundra is one of the many huskies that we rescued from a hoarding situation. They were living in filth and had to fight for the small amounts of food that were thrown to them. The dogs have had little or no social engagement with humans and know nothing about a routine, living in a house or walking on lead. They all need patient experienced owners who are ready for sleepless nights, chewing and escapism.
Tundra is a gentle, less nervous boy who readily accepts pats and cuddles. He is learning to walk on lead -- slowly. He is still very scared. Walkers say: "Very nervous, needs to see you approach with pats or contact from unknown places is scary for him. Very slow, stopping regularly on walk. Turned back alot, backs into bush when scared. Loves grass!", "Fearful in open spaces, not interested in treats, too scared", "He was good with walking at times, at times he was a little hesitant to walk but after this, he enjoyed walking and wanted to go far". Tundra is good at testing fencing so secure fencing is a must. Tundra like all huskies has an undercoat that sheds seasonally and needs lots of brushing. He weighs 17.7kg and is still underweight.
