How to give a dog a new name
For a tax-deductible donation of $80, you can name one of our new DoggieRescue dogs.
Simply make a donation to DoggieRescue of $80 using the payment form below, making sure you enter your chosen name in the field provided, and selecting your preference (if any) for a male or female dog.
When a new dog comes into the shelter we will name it with your chosen name and email you! In the dog profile on our website, we will also acknowledge you by your first name (eg This dog was named by Samantha).
Please note: We have no control over how fast our new dogs get adopted but it is DoggieRescue policy that almost every dog rescued into our shelter gets given a new name. This is because dogs often associate their name with their past experiences, often unpleasant and distressing for the dog. When a dog is brought into our shelter, they are given a second chance at a happy and loving life, including a new name, and we are delighted to offer our supporters the opportunity to be part of that - no matter how long it is for.
