Marley is a friendly happy pup who loves to play with other young dogs. He is affectionate with people however he has a slight disability that does not affect his life span. As he is growing he seems to manage his balance better and it does not interfere with his doggy play. Marley is also child friendly and would suit 12+yo. Our trainer says: Lovely freindly boy. A little nervous/jumpy with new things. Better in an adult or older child environment only because he falls more when gets excited or worried."
Marley came as a tiny pup was about 5 weeks old when he came from the pound under Duty of Care. He came with crusty lesions on his face and the pup was ataxic, falling to one side. He can be a quiet pup at times but he loves running in the garden. He tucks into his 3 meals a day with gusto and loves his puppy milk. So far we have run bloods which showed a huge white cell count so he is on anti-biotics. He is negative for ringworm, parvo and giardia.

Update 21/6, Marley has just come back after MRI and CSF (spinal fluid) tap. The report reveals he has Cerebellar Hypoplasia, a condition where his cerebellum has not developed properly and is smaller. There is no medication to give and he should have a normal life, but he will always be a bit wobbly and can fall at times. He is about 7kg and has a smooth coat. He is looking for a family where someone is home a lot of the time. He has a short coat and weighs 30.9kg.
Update 5/10
Marley has been visiting dog parks. He has been really good on the walking, generally managing to stay upright until towards the end of walks when tiredness sets in. He is still a little shy of meeting new people, especially men but has been prepared to be approached a second time and has been good with them then. He has been great with the dogs he has met, especially the smaller ones. Everyone thinks he is just the cutest big pup.
