It has been a very tough life – and I am still adjusting. Give me more time and hopefully one day things will change
Coconut is probably the most difficult of all the huskies we rescued. She is very shut down and withdrawn and for weeks we carried her in a crate from night kennel to day yard. She did not want to engage with huskies she knew well. She is now with some friends and comes out of an open crate. She does not engage with any dogs ATM and she does not walk on lead yet. She has a medium coat that sheds and she weighs 16.6kg.
Coconut is one of the many huskies that we rescued from a hoarding situation. They were living in filth and had to fight for the small amounts of food that were thrown to them. The dogs have had little or no social engagement with humans and know nothing about a routine, living in a house or walking on lead. They all need patient experienced owners who are ready for sleepless nights, chewing and escapism.
