Yankee

Yankee is a lovely walker on a loose lead but quite anxious and quite scared of strangers especially men.  He needs special people who will take the time to earn his trust and understands he needs special treatment. He needs walking in quiet areas. He does not like open spaces and can be very reactive to strangers.

Yankee is a sweet affectionate but strong dog who loves to be around people he knows.  He is better with women than men and needs time to trust men. He is wary of hats and sunglasses. Yankee walks on loose lead most of the time and does not react to cars, other dogs, trucks or whipper snippers. He loves being patted and belly rubs and knows sit. He loves car rides and feels safe inside a car. He is receiving training for confidence building and people reactivity. He needs a family with patience to make him more comfortable with the outside world. He does not cope well in the stressy shelter environment. He has a smooth coat and weighs 30.5kg.
