Miska is one of the more confident huskies who already enjoys human affection. She has fly bitten ears and scars on her face. She has doubled in weight since arriving an weighs 21kg. Our dog trainer says: "Copes well with kids but does not really engage. She is best suited in a home with older quieter kids - child tolerant." Out walking she pulls on lead but ignores cars and other dogs. She enjoys a jog and belly rubs with our volunteers but she takes a while to come out of her shell. She has a shedding coat that sheds seasonally and demands a lot of brushing.
Miska is one of the many huskies that we rescued from a hoarding situation. They were living in filth and had to fight for the small amounts of food that were thrown to them. The dogs have had little or no social engagement with humans and knew nothing about a routine, living in a house or walking on lead. They all need patient experienced owners.
