When Max came from the pound he could not be handled and growled at everyone upon approach. He was in a terrible matted state. We had him clipped under sedation. We have been working hard on getting his trust and he is amazingly loyal. Max is very food motivated and very quick to learn. He really seeks out affection once he trusts you but is not clingy. Max would be best in a quiet home with experience with fearful dogs. Max is hypothyroid and will probably need to be on thyroid medication for life. It is reasonably inexpensive. He has a quiet calm demeanour. Apparently he has lived in a home with a cat. He has a fluffy coat that needs lots of brushing. He weighs 9.8kg.
