I am still a bit shy around strangers, but I LOVE to swim and blow bubbles
Malaki is a gentle, less nervous boy who readily accepts pats and cuddles. He is confident on walks, with his tail up, sniffing and exploring and has relaxed body language. He enjoys being patted. Walkers say: “Hesitant to walk, picked him up and took him up the hill where he walked well.”, “Gentle, nervous. Some good walking. Liked to sit in the grass and creek”, Enjoyed the water bath and walking through the grass”, “Seemed to want to follow other dogs. Will lean against you for a pat. Listens to verbal commands. Had random zoomies!”, “Loves a good back scratch”. Malaki has visited a home and was immediately confident there, running up and down stairs, in and out of the home. He was not scared of anything. Malaki like all huskies have an undercoat that sheds seasonally and needs lots of brushing. He weighs 14.9kg and is still underweight.
Malaki is one of the many huskies that we rescued from a hoarding situation. Prior to joining us they were living in filth and had to fight for the small amounts of food that were thrown to them. The dogs have had little or no social engagement with humans and know nothing about a routine, living in a house or walking on lead. They all need patient experienced owners.
