George is an active bouncy pup who loves playing with other active dogs. George has not had a good past and is nervous of new people. He needs to warm up slowly and meet people a few times. George walks well on lead and comes when called. He also sits for his meals. Out and about, things are still pretty new for him, and he gets scared and wants to get away from things he is not sure of. He needs a handler who understands and takes slow steps with him. He is quiet and calm when he is in bed, but he is in that chewy stage of his life so durable toys are a must. His favourite game is playing tug with other dogs.
George came to the pound with a damaged left knee - tibial crest avulsion and had emergency surgery at the pound. This probably happened from falling off the back of a truck. We took him directly after surgery. The surgery was redone by our vets due to infection but has all healed now and he is a normal bouncy staffy boy. George is an active boy who likes to be near humans as much as possible but can also be left alone for shorter periods. George is social with other dogs and is very staffy like in his play and manner. He has a sleek lanky build and is good at jumping up. He has a smooth coat. He weighed 10.1kg when he came in but is closer to 17kg now.
George is looking for an experienced person who is willing to meet him a few times to build trust. He suits a quiet home preferably away from high density living.
