Douglas or Dougie as he is affectionately called is looking for a very experienced family to improve his sociability with dogs and build his confidence. Dougie was a stray who had been scrounging for food for some time and wary of people. He was hungry and was finally impounded. He was scared and nervous. He slowly began to trust regular pound staff. By the time he came to us he had relaxed further but is only suitable for people with experienced with fear aggression. He walks well on loose lead, ignoring cars and other dogs unless they are reactive to him. He walks at a good pace and likes a jog! He enjoys pats from volunteers he knows. He has a scruffy terrier coat and weighs 16kg. Dougie needs a person willing to meet him numerous times to build the trust. He is not a fan of cats. He prefers a quiet environment.
