Delores has been a breeding dog all her life and then was dumped at the pound when she could no longer produce pups. She was not chipped and came under Duty of Care.
She is a sweet affectionate dog who now lives in a foster home with other medium sized dogs. She has a very calm nature and is not a fan of getting up very early. She loves cooked chicken and enjoys rumbling for short bursts with young active dogs and then taking a nap. You rarely hear her bark unless she needs something.
She is not suitable around pocket pets or cats.
She is on bi-weekly medicated washes for her chronic skin condition. She has had a dental and had some fractured teeth removed. She had mammary tumours. These have all been removed. We have started her on acupuncture which has been very beneficial for her skin and arthritis.
She has got used to good food, pats and cuddles, regular walks and of course medicated baths. Delores walks well on loose lead, ignoring cars and other dogs. She even walks past reactive dogs with ignore. Walkers say: "Sniffed slow pace initially but then lovely walk on loose lead, stayed close. Noticed reactive dogs however with encouragement was able to walk past. Loved pats, gave kisses. Just gorgeous sweet lovely girl." She has a smooth coat and weighs 29.3kg.
