Dakota came from the pound very timid and uncertain and very skinny and matted. She soon learned about doggy friends and gentle human handling. She was matted to the skin when she came in and was clipped with a lot of patience. She is feeling a lot happier and more confident around humans now. Out walking she walks on loose lead and ignores other dogs and cars. Comments “Walked well after a good sniff around. Ended up having a jog after a rest with us”. She would do best with a family who have another social dog for her to play with. She is much smaller that most Malamutes and has achondroplasia in both front legs (bow legged) perhaps as a result of poor breeding and poor nutrition.
