Clementine is a 15yo Cocker Spaniel X who was dumped in a high bushland area. She looked dead in the scrub. She was brought to the pound and we learned that Clementine has had that tumour on her eye for the past 10 years! DoggieRescue took her on under Duty of Care. Our vets successfully removed the tumour and we have sent off blood and sample of the eye tumour and also one on her anus. She is so much more comfortable now and the eye functions normally. Sadly her pathology results came back that she has malignant melanomas, and they have metastasised in her body including her lungs. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do for her but keep her comfortable for whatever time she has left. Vets are unsure about how long she has but they talk about weeks. We are doing our very best for her. She gets warm baths, lots of cuddles from carers and also gets some acupuncture to help with pain management. At the moment she is eating well and has little walks in the garden and then naps inside. She is such a sweet easy girl. She is available for adoption (no fee) if someone is willing to spoil her for whatever time she has left.
