Judy and Liza are Mum and daughter and have lived together all their lives. Their owner went to a retirement village. They are both sweet, gentle easy to handle dogs who are social with other small dogs. They both came from the pound in very poor condition having issues relating to chromic flea infestations and severe dental disease which has now been rectified. Judy was almost blind and relied on Liza as her eyes. Judy might also be hard of hearing, but she certainly tells you if she wants something! Both dogs are not used to walking on lead and need a patient owner to work with them. Judy is non-shedding and weighs 4.7kg and Liza is low shedding and weighs 4.8kg.
Judy has been to the eye specialist, and she has had cataract surgery. She has now good vision in her right eye however the vets suggest for her to have vision in the left eye we need to remove the blood that filled the eye during surgery, and the best way is by going in again. We have booked her in for Tue 17 Oct as we want the best outcome for her. It should be day surgery and we have been given estimated discounted cost of $2,000 for this procedure. She will remain on eye drops for the next 6 months.
