Chuckles came from the pound in a bad way. He breathing is raspy and he sometimes regurgitated his food. With dogs he is a super friendly happy dog and is very easy to handle. He has a very affectionate nature. He is your typical Frenchie, full of antics and love. He is social with other small dogs.
Our vets have said he is in urgent need of BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome) surgery to give him the best quality of life. Without this his life will be very short.
He was booked in for surgery on 17 April which has been rescheduled due to staff shortages over Easter. The recovery is about 3 weeks where he needs to be kept very quiet away from other dogs and excitement. Chuckles has a short coat and weighs 15.1kg.
