Dear Monika,
About eleven years ago my wife, Katya, brought home a young dog that you had called “DJ”.
DJ was a bit of an “adventure” during the first few years. He loved to go “hiking”, alone whenever he had the chance. Slowly I learned of his favorite locations and would go and collect him. He also was rather selective as to visitors he liked or did not like.
We loved him nevertheless and as time passed we all grew closer together as a family.
Last week, suddenly without any preconditions, DJ clearly was not feeling well. I took him to the hospital and the test results were devastating. Advanced tumors, surgery not recommended, only a few days remaining.
We’ve lost a much loved friend.
