I’m the cuddliest of all. I don’t need much, just give me a human that likes to cuddle on the couch and maybe a few treats now and again
Chinook is a gentle affectionate dog. She is coming out of her shell slowly and enjoys cuddles from people. Our trainer says: "She is sweet with kids. She trakes treats gently, however too much noise and activity makes her a little uncomfortable. She is best suited to 10+yo kids or quieter kids". She walks with encouragement but warms up and walks on loose lead. She is scared of cars. She prefers to walk with one of her mates for comfort. She enjoys being patted. Walkers say: “More confident than last time! Walked with Kayuh”, “After being reluctant to leave she was energetic and excited. Enjoyed pats, belly rubs and treats!” “Shy in the beginning, enjoyed the walk back to the shelter”, “Walked with encouragement to the top of the hill and decided it was enough. Very cuddly” She has a short fluffy coat and came in weighing 18.6kg.
Chinook is one of the many huskies that we rescued from a hoarding situation. They were living in filth and had to fight for the small amounts of food that were thrown to them. The dogs have had little or no social engagement with humans and knew nothing about a routine, living in a house or walking on lead. They all need patient experienced owners.
